Bike preparation

  • Tires, brakes, sprocket and chain must be in good condition. Trackside tire service with Bridgestone tires is available.
  • All glass, headlights, taillights, turn signals and plastic lenses must be taped over or removed, and the head and tail lights must not shine through the tape. Removing the head and tail light fuses is recommended.
  • Side mirrors must be removed. Taping over mirrors is not permitted, except for mirrors with integrated turn signals, which must be taped.
  • Removing centre stands is recommended but not required. Bikes with side stands should have strong springs so the stand cannot drop accidentally.
  • The handlebar kill switch or button must work, and the throttle must spring back by itself.
  • All motorcycles must use water instead of antifreeze or glycol-based coolant, including the liquid in the reservoir. Water Wetter or MoCool with distilled water is recommended. This is not negotiable. Engine Ice is not permitted.
  • Drilling and lock-wiring oil drain plugs and brake caliper mounting bolts is recommended.

Bike numbers (mandatory for all riders)

Your assigned bike number must be displayed on the front and on both sides of your motorcycle (upper side fairing or side of the lower fairing), or on the front and rear as the tail allows. Numbers must be at least 5 to 6 inches high, and readable from 100 feet away, with clear fonts and highly contrasting colours. A solid white or black plate-style background is highly recommended. Modern tail sections that cannot take two sets of numbers must show the numbers clearly on either side of the machine.

Video equipment, lap timers and phones

  • All on-track video equipment (GoPro and other cameras, phones and so on) must be approved at safety inspection. Mount the camera as you intend to ride with it.
  • No cameras mounted on your helmet or body.
  • Cameras must be secured with a tether. Cameras lost on the track are not searched for or returned.
  • No foam stick mounts or solid rod mounts that could impale in a crash.
