Riding gear

All riders must wear appropriate riding gear, free from tears, exposed seams, excessive wear, age or damage.

  • Leathers: full one-piece or two-piece (zipping completely around) motorcycle leather suits only.
  • Helmet: a full-face helmet designed for motorcycle use and free from damage. A Snell 2015 or ECE-05 helmet made no more than seven years ago, in good condition and properly fitted, is mandatory. No DOT helmets.
  • Back protector: CE Level 2 or higher is mandatory. Foam or soft shell protectors such as those in some suits are not acceptable. The back protector must cover your spine from the tailbone to the base of the neck. External air vests do not replace a back protector, and internal airbags must include a back protector system (for example Tech-Air, D-Air, GiMoto V-Race 2.5).
  • Gloves: leather gauntlet-style gloves in good condition with no ripped stitching or seams.
  • Boots: motorcycle boots that extend above the ankle to about mid-calf. No steel toe boots.
